Engineering Manager, Utilities Location: Dublin 8 Duration: Permanent Hours: 39 hours per week Salary: c€110,000 + bonus + benefits Location: Dublin Job Type: Full-time, Permanent On behalf of our client, we are welcoming applications for an experienced Utilities Services Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of utilities maintenance services at a prestigious, high-profile industrial site in Dublin. This appointment comes at a key time as the current Site Manager prepares for retirement, and the successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive 12-month handover period to ensure a smooth transition into the role. As a senior leadership position, you will play a pivotal role in delivering integrated and sustainable solutions across energy, water, waste, and carbon reduction, while ensuring the highest levels of operational excellence and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of site utilities and environmental services operations. Act as primary point of contact for daily communication with client representatives. Oversee and ensure compliance with all legal, corporate, and health & safety responsibilities. Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team; oversee recruitment and role assignments. Evaluate technical and commercial elements of sub-contracted services. Manage site reporting, including daily, weekly, and monthly performance and financial updates. Maintain rigorous cost control and manage the commercial contract with full P&L responsibility. Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements for site operations. Candidate Profile To be considered for this role, you will possess: A relevant Engineering Degree , Trade or equivalent (Mechanical, Electrical technical disciplines). A minimum of 7 years experience in the utilities services sector, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role. A proven track record in operational and team leadership within a technical services environment. Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels. Solid understanding of industrial utilities systems, including maintenance and fault resolution. Strong verbal, written, and technical English communication skills. Commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills. Desirable Experience Experience working in process manufacturing sectors (e.g., food, beverage, pharma) with responsibility for Utilities Systems. Knowledge of industrial relations (IR), including handling disputes and conflict resolution on unionised sites. Six Sigma or equivalent lean process improvement qualifications.
