This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to join a trusted, community-focused business with a strong reputation in the Agri, Building and Hardware sectors. Reporting to the GM/CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the store, ensuring efficient operations, excellent customer service, and sustainable business growth. Key Responsibilities include: Sales Growth & Cost Management Develop strategies to increase sales and manage operational costs. Analyse sales and financial reports to identify improvement opportunities. Stock & Inventory Monitor stock levels and ensure effective inventory control. Reduce stock losses and improve turnover. Debtor Management Manage credit control processes to reduce bad debt and maintain cash flow. Staff Leadership Lead, motivate, and support a high-performing team. Provide coaching and foster a collaborative work culture. Support training and development of staff to build strong and capable teams. Customer Focus Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Ensure excellent service standards are maintained at all times. Operational Excellence Ensure compliance with all operational, health & safety, and legal standards. Enforce efficient procedures and store policies. Manage budgets, costs and profitability in line with company objectives. Strategy & Innovation Develop and adapt sales strategies based on market trends and data. Engage in continuous learning and team development. Liaise with Head Office and other branch managers to ensure consistency in service and standards. Develop strong local customer and supplier relationships to support community engagement. What Were Looking For Proven supervisory or management experience in a retail environment. Knowledge of the Agri and Building sectors (desirable). Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work on your own initiative. Computer literate with good analytical and problem-solving abilities. A proactive attitude with a focus on results and team development.
