Our client, a well-established IT services provider, is seeking an experienced IT Support Field Engineer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, customer-focused professional who enjoys working on-site with a variety of local businesses.

About the Role:

In this field-based position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality IT support across Microsoft, server, network, software and hardware environments. You will work directly with clients throughout County Cork, diagnosing and resolving issues, performing system maintenance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide on-site and remote support to a portfolio of SMB clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Microsoft technologies, servers, networks, software, and hardware.
- Install and configure computer systems, servers, network devices, and peripherals.
- Carry out routine maintenance, updates, and health checks.
- Escalate complex issues when necessary and collaborate with internal support teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and service records.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional approach.

Requirements:

- Strong technical skills across Microsoft environments (Windows OS, Microsoft 365, server administration).
- Solid understanding of networking technologies (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls).
- Proven experience in hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage well with customers.
- Friendly, approachable manner with a strong customer service mindset.
- Full, clean Irish driver’s licence (essential).
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
