Job Description

The Role:
Elgin is accepting applications for our 2025 Graduate Programme. The successful graduate would be expected to start in September 2025.
Our Graduate Programme provides an intensive 18-month learning journey with the project delivery team. In this role, you will help bring solar PV and BESS projects from development through to operation by supporting project delivery activities, comprising engineering, procurement, construction, project management, and health, safety, and environment (HSE).
You will apply theoretical knowledge and concepts to a business reality, taking part in the design and improvement of projects, processes, documents, and operations.

What you will do:

Primary focus;
Construction

- Support general construction management activities.
- Undertake site visits and inspections.

Project Management

- Support preparation of project programmes.
- Administration of cost control measures.

Wider team support;
HSE

- Support Health, Safety and Environmental activities, becoming familiar with the existing legislation, standards, processes, policies, and procedures.
- Cooperate in the planning and implementation of the company's HSE prevention management system.
- Cooperate in the training of workers, promoting awareness for health & safety and environmental issues.

Engineering

- Support preparation of Employer’s Requirements documentation.
- Support technical assessment of Ready-To-Build Solar + BESS projects.

Procurement

- Support on Procurement activities: suppliers’ pre-qualification, preparation of tenders, proposals comparison, management of contractors and suppliers’ documentation.
- Support on contracts negotiation (EPC, EBOP/ICP, OE) and its implementation through construction.

Your profile

What we need from you:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental management, or related discipline.
- Be curious about renewables and passionate about contributing towards a more sustainable future.
- Have excellent organization skills, be thorough and with high attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of engineering, organizational process modelling and legal fundamentals.
- Willingness to learn and to participate in teamwork.

Instead of a cover letter, we would ask applicants to send in their CV and answer the following questions (max 100 words per answer):

- What interests you about Engineering?
- Why do you want to work for Elgin?
- What knowledge, skills, characteristics, or previous experience would make you a great candidate?
- What do you like to do for fun?
