Data Center Supervisor CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) – a part of CBRE Data Centre Solutions (DCS) , a global leader in real‑estate, facilities and technology solutions for data centre owners, occupiers and investors.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Dublin, Ireland, and support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our data centres.
Location Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities Electrical supervision of operation, maintenance, and repair of all critical environment systems, maintaining 100% uptime.
Develop and maintain site electrical procedures (EOPs, SOPs, MOPs, drills, APs) and keep documentation consistent with client standards.
Review vendor documentation (method statements, risk assessments, service reports) and ensure items are closed out.
Conduct QA on vendor works, review vendor performance, and support contract management.
Perform root‑cause analysis for equipment failures, produce post‑mortem reports, and drive improvements.
Monitor critical spares inventory and ensure accurate stock levels.
Act as the point of contact for shift‑team escalations and coordinate with Mechanical, Planning, and technical teams.
Lead energy‑efficiency initiatives, record works on the master energy register, and report on performance.
Provide training, competency sign‑off, and succession planning for the electrical team.
Ensure health‑and‑safety compliance, report hazards, and maintain a safe working environment.
Assist with staff management, recruitment, technical assessment and performance appraisal.
Qualifications & Experience Strong understanding of data‑centre electrical systems: feeders, transformers, switchgear, UPS, batteries, ATS/STS, PDU/PMM.
Experience with medium‑voltage distribution, MV/LV switchgear and safety protocols.
Proficiency in automated control equipment, PLCs, building‑management systems and integration with data‑centre infrastructure.
Experience in a production or critical environment with at least two years of relevant work.
Excellent communication and coaching skills, ability to liaise with clients and contractors.
Willingness to work outside normal hours to resolve 24/7 issues.
Computer literate; capable of compiling monthly/annual reports and trend analysis.
Electrical trade qualification; a degree or equivalent education is desirable.
