Role Summary
The Sr. Supply Chain Specialist will manage supply continuity for Commercial API, Britestock, and Finished Goods within Gilead’s Global Logistics Organization. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics activities, communication with supply chain groups and CMOs, inventory analysis, exception management, and monitoring KPIs for continuous improvement. The role offers opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across Gilead and external partners, including CMO organizations, freight forwarders, and warehouses.

Key Responsibilities

Manage logistics processes related to contract setup, material control, inventory, and shipping/receiving, supporting business plans.

Prioritize activities, plan daily tasks, and coordinate the movement of materials, maintaining relationships with CMO sites and internal stakeholders.

Implement and improve supply chain policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with GXP and GDP standards.

Identify and execute logistics initiatives to meet departmental and company targets.

Analyze systems and processes, develop tools to support operational excellence.

Manage relationships with external vendors, using KPIs to drive improvements in safety, compliance, quality, service, and cost.

Assist in developing new technologies and processes for continuous improvement.

Support ERP system development and business process architecture.

Supervise and mentor team members, providing training and guidance.

Maintain documentation and contribute to SOP reviews and updates.

Minimum Requirements

Extensive experience in supply chain or related field, with a BS/BA or higher degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience working in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or chemical manufacturing industries.

Knowledge of transportation logistics, GMP/GXP standards, and regulatory compliance.

Experience with planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis RapidResponse), ERP systems (Oracle EBS, SAP), and business intelligence tools (Tableau, OBIEE).

Six Sigma or Lean certification is preferred.

Management or supervisory experience is a plus.
