What you will do:

- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.

- Conduct credit checks on new clients and assess their creditworthiness based on rental history and financial information.

- Communicate with clients regarding overdue invoices, payment terms, and any discrepancies in accounts.

- Negotiate payment plans or settlements for outstanding debts while maintaining client relationships.

- Generate and distribute monthly statements and overdue notices to clients.

- Collaborate with the sales, operations and finance teams to reconcile accounts and resolve rental disputes.

- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities and client communications in our system.

- Report on accounts receivable status and credit control activities to management regularly.

- Develop and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts and improve cash flow.

What you will need:

- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar role.

- Strong understanding of credit management principles.

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Good attention to customer service.

- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (inc. Excel and Outlook).

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
