Senior Technical Writer

THE POSITION

We are looking for someone with a proven background in Pharma / BioPharma or MedTech and experience in GMP documentation, writing, and information design. The successful candidate will support a project with a leading global Biopharmaceutical company and will develop, edit, and maintain high-quality documentation for complex scientific and technical products.

The ideal candidate will take ownership of project delivery and collaborate with subject matter experts, regulatory teams, and product managers to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.

Headquartered in Cork, hybrid role with remote and flexible working arrangements available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, SOPs, regulatory submissions, and product guides for life sciences products.

- Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for diverse audiences.

- Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, ISO) and internal quality standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, QA, Regulatory Affairs, and Marketing.

- Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.

- Implement and maintain documentation templates and style guides.

- Review and edit content for consistency, accuracy, and compliance.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Technical Communication, or related field.

- 5+ years of experience in technical writing within life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries.

- Strong understanding of regulatory documentation requirements (FDA, EMA, ISO).

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience with documentation authoring and management in a regulated environment.

- Familiarity with GxP and quality management systems

- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

- Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies, and of risk assessments and criticality analysis.

- Familiarity with data visualization tools or dashboards.
