Our client is a large European Investment Manager with a substantial operation in Ireland. They are now seeking a Senior Compliance & Risk Officer, in a newly created position, to play a pivotal role in enhancing the firm's Risk and Compliance Framework. This role is integral to promoting a strong culture of risk awareness and regulatory compliance across the organisation. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, ensuring governance standards are upheld and contributing to the company's reputation for delivering high-quality investment services. This role is designated as a Controlled Function by the Central Bank and will report to the Chief Compliance Officer. Responsibilities Support the continuous improvement and implementation of the Risk and Compliance Framework Ensure governance documents such as policies and risk registers are maintained and updated Conduct assessments to identify and evaluate regulatory, operational, financial, and reputational risks Monitor emerging risks and regulatory developments Collaborate with internal teams to embed risk and compliance into business processes & projects Prepare detailed reports and updates for senior management and governance committees Represent the Risk and Compliance function at internal forums Deputise for both Head of Risk and Head of Compliance as and when required The Candidate Professional qualification in risk management and/or compliance preferred Experience in compliance, risk management, or audit within a regulated environment Minimum 5+ years experience in compliance within a MiFID firm Strong knowledge of Irish and EU regulatory frameworks, including MiFID II, DORA, and AML/CFT Proven ability to design, implement, and enhance risk management and compliance frameworks Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Strong IT skills and proficiency in compliance software tools Interested candidates should send their CV in confidence to Benefits: Group Life Assurance Laptop Medical Aid / Health Care Paid Holidays Pension Fund Performance Bonus
