Job Title: Senior Compliance Officer Location: South Dublin Working Model: Hybrid (two days in the office per week) Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Compliance Officer to join our client within the insurance sector. This is a senior hands-on role offering the chance to lead and develop compliance practices while contributing to the wider operational strategy. The successful candidate will take on key deputy-level responsibilities, supporting team oversight, process improvement, and decision-making, while remaining actively involved in core compliance work. This role suits a confident compliance professional ready to progress into a leadership position within a supportive and collaborative environment. Your Role Act as deputy to the Head of Compliance, supporting oversight of daily operations and team performance. Lead the review, enhancement, and implementation of compliance frameworks, policies, and controls. Conduct internal audits, monitor breaches and complaints, and ensure timely remediation. Oversee regulatory and insurer reporting while maintaining strong attention to detail. Provide guidance on data protection matters and manage data access requests. Support and deliver compliance-related training and awareness initiatives across the business. Collaborate with management to ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and codes. Your Skills Minimum of three years' experience in compliance or audit within insurance or financial services. Experience in a senior or deputy-level role, with proven leadership or mentoring ability. Strong understanding of Irish regulatory frameworks including CPC, IDD, MCC, and GDPR. Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills. Professional qualification such as CIP, Data Protection, or a relevant compliance diploma (completed or in progress).
