General Operative / Clerical Officer Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a General Operative to join their team. The duration of the post is approximately 76 weeks with possible extensions thereafter. Working 35 hours per week the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €16.87 based on an annualised salary of €30,810 and will accrue 26 days' annual leave per year. The role is based fully onsite in Dublin 8. Access to transport is essential for this role. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Transport: Delivery of records to agreed delivery locations across the hospital site from the record centre Collection of records being returned to Record Centre Collection of laboratory archive material for storage in record centre Loading and unloading of vehicle Ensure proper security of vehicle and loading areas Duties will require presence in clinical areas with access to patients. Record Centre: Retrieval of records from lateral shelving and archive boxes Packing of retrieved records in preparation for delivery location scanning of records for delivery Unload returned records and sort for filing Location scan and file returned records Archive of inactive records Upload scanned information to centre's IT system Ensure proper security of the store areas and in particular to ensure no records are issued without proper authorisation and tracking on O'Neil software To ensure equipment used in the retrieval, filing and transportation of records is maintained in a clean and serviceable manner To ensure all areas are kept in neat order and no records, containers or equipment are causing hazards Participate and cooperate with legislative and regulatory requirements in relation to Health and Safety as outlined in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and the Hospital Safety Statement Please Note: this role involves lifting and moving of boxes of charts. Manual Handling training must be kept up to date at all times Any other duties appropriate to the grade as may be assigned by management as required Qualifications and/or Relevant Experience: Previous clerical experience in a Hospital / Healthcare environment Previous experience in handling and transportation of goods Technical/Clinical Competencies: Required: Full Driving Licence Desirable: Working knowledge of Word and/or Excel Working knowledge of Healthcare Patient Records systems e.g. PAS, EPR, O'Neil Software *This position may be subject to Garda Vetting and Foreign Police Clearance, if applicable you will be required to obtain these prior to commencing in this role* Unijobs is an equal opportunities employer.
