Senior Tax Manager

A international consumer goods business is seeking a Senior Manager, Tax to take ownership of its international tax function working alongside a global function. This role offers full remit across Corporate Tax, VAT/Indirect, Global Mobility, and Excise for a business operating in 20+ countries.
Responsibilities will be weighted around 50% Advisory & Strategy, 30% Compliance Co-ordination, and 20% Ad-hoc support.

International remit – oversee compliance across multiple jurisdictions (Ireland, UK, Australia + wider international operations)
Builder mandate – design processes, raise the bar on compliance, and act as the single point of contact for senior leaders
High impact & visibility – partner directly with the SLT of Global Finance, Tax on strategic projects while collaborating with supply chain, commercial, digital sales, and finance teams
Market expansion – lead due diligence for new market entries and shape tax structures for future growth
Career trajectory – clear pathway to Director level as the function evolves
What We’re Looking For
Qualified tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent) with 7+ years’ tax experience
Industry exposure to FMCG, retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods (through practice or industry)
Hands-on, sleeves-rolled approach — comfortable managing compliance and complex issues directly (not just delegating)
Someone from a corporate tax manager role (with or without small team support) who’s ready to step up as the top tax lead
