About the Role

We are actively recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Service and Repairs division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and servicing of mechanical equipment on water and wastewater contracting sites, as well as some industrial sites.
  • Carrying out routine planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all types of pumps, blowers, screens, gearboxes, and other mechanical assets in the water and wastewater industry.
  • Identifying and resolving mechanical faults, including identifying required parts.
  • Supervising onsite works, ensuring efficient completion within allocated time without compromising health, safety, or quality.
  • Coordinating shared equipment usage and organizing necessary resources for specific jobs.
  • Completing daily reports detailing works performed, materials used, and time spent on site.
Key Competencies and Skills
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and manuals.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and fix mechanical issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in performing maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Teamwork: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team with support from the Service division in Mallow head office.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Mechanical Fitter/Plant Fitter/Mechanic.
  • Similar relevant experience will be considered.
  • Full EU/Irish driving license.
