Location: Preferred location is Dublin, Ireland however can also be based within the E.U. Role Summary The Regional L&D Director for Europe and Middle East (EME) plays a pivotal dual role within the International Commercial Center of Excellence (COE). This position provides both regional leadership for commercial Learning & Development across EME and leadership for programmes i.e. Marketing Excellence L&D initiatives across the wider international markets. As Regional L&D Director for EME, the role partners closely with commercial leaders across Europe and the Middle East to identify capability needs and deliver high-impact learning solutions & commercial excellence. Through strategic partnership, coaching, and program execution, the Director enables the upskilling of our commercial teams (sales, marketing, technical) to drive sustainable business growth, leveraging global learning programs for consistency as much as possible. Concurrently, as the International Lead for Marketing Excellence L&D, the Director shapes and drives the international learning agenda for marketing capability building, designing, deploying, and continuously enhancing programs that advance omnichannel engagement, customer-centric marketing, brand execution, digital fluency, and insight-led planning across diverse international markets. The successful candidate brings deep expertise in Learning & Development leadership, a strong understanding of marketing and sales environments, and proven experience developing and embedding large-scale capability programs. A skilled collaborator and influencer, this individual partners confidently with senior regional and global stakeholders to ensure that learning initiatives are business-relevant, future-focused, and fully embedded into both commercial and marketing strategies. Role Responsibilities L&D Director EME Team Management & Development Lead, coach, and empower a high-performing team of L&D managers across a multi-country region, ensuring they are equipped to support marketing transformation, brand capability development, and commercial learning priorities at scale. Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, agility, and innovation, fostering cross-market collaboration and the development of modern learning practices that accelerate marketing execution and strategic alignment. Drive succession planning and future-focused capability building within the L&D team, ensuring a strong bench of talent with the skills and mindset needed to support evolving marketing strategies and digital advancement. Commercial Capability Strategy and Execution Partner with regional leadership to drive an L&D program based on COE Category strategies and aligned with regional objectives. Localize and tailor global learning initiatives to reflect market maturity, customer dynamics, and execution realities across the region. Foster strong collaboration across markets, functions, and business units, acting as a connector between L&D and Commercial teams to ensure learning strategies are co-owned, embedded, and scalable. Continuously review and refine operational processes, governance, and standards to ensure agile, compliant, and impactful delivery of marketing capability programs across a diverse and dynamic regional landscape. Support commercial-related change initiatives by equipping teams to adopt new omnichannel strategies, platforms, and customer engagement processes-minimizing disruption and maximizing adoption. Performance Measurement, Optimization, and Marketing Impact Use learning analytics and commercial metrics to optimize programs and demonstrate measurable business impact Ensure reporting transparency and governance in line with international standards, while adapting measurement frameworks to reflect local marketing maturity and execution models. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration Build strong partnerships with regional president and regional leadership team, and in-market commercial teams to embed learning into commercial performance agendas. Represent EME needs and feedback in global L&D forums. International Lead - L&D, Marketing Excellence Marketing Capability Development Lead the design, deployment, and continuous enhancement of marketing capability program, ensuring tight alignment with Zoetis' international Marketing Excellence strategy. Develop scalable, future-ready learning solutions & experiences that build omnichannel engagement, brand strategy execution, digital marketing fluency, customer journey design, and insight-led planning skills. Co-create with International/Global Marketing functions and COE to ensure relevance and adoption across markets. Build strong alignment and credibility with senior marketing stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and capability partner who can translate strategic intent into impactful learning programs that accelerate execution. Program Ownership and Deployment Lead the design and rollout of impactful, marketing-centric learning experiences-including workshops, digital modules, playbooks, and toolkits-that build critical capabilities such as omnichannel engagement, customer journey design, digital fluency, and insight-led execution. Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of global marketing learning programs - from needs analysis and design to piloting, rollout, certification, and optimization. Support new product launches and marketing transformations through targeted capability-building initiatives. Ensure programs are internationally consistent yet adaptable to local and regional marketing realities Global Collaboration and Thought Leadership Benchmark against external best practices and continuously integrate new approaches into marketing capability programs. Act as a strategic advisor to international/global marketing leaders on marketing capability development and learning strategies. Partner with US L&D team to co-create and identify synergies across marketing programs. Performance Measurement and Marketing Impact Define KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing capability programs. Track improvements in marketing execution, campaign effectiveness, digital adoption, and customer engagement performance linked to capability initiatives. Organizational Relationships Internal: Regional Commercial Leadership Team International & Local Commercial Teams L&D Direct reports L&D team across US and International COE & GCD Category Leads LMS & ZTD Legal, Compliance & Regulatory Teams External: Training vendors and marketing capability partners Professional L&D associations and networks Technology and Content Providers. Resources Managed: Team Size: Managing approximately 8 L&D managers. Travel: Approximately 30% national and international travel Meetings: Online meetings outside of local time zones Candidate Requirements Education & Experience Minimum 10+ years of experience leading regional learning and development programs, with a strong track record of enabling marketing and commercial capability growth across diverse markets. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Education, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications in Learning & Development or Marketing preferred. Proven success in building and executing learning strategies that support brand building, omnichannel engagement, product launches, and sales force effectiveness. Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior marketing and commercial leaders. Strong understanding of modern learning methodologies, adult learning principles, and commercial/marketing operations. Experience managing cross-functional, multicultural teams, ideally across multiple geographies or in a matrixed organization. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential; proficiency in additional regional languages (e.g., French, Spanish, German) is highly desirable. Must hold a current passport and valid driver's license and be open to international travel as required.
