The Role & What You Will Be Doing

- Responsible for the end-to-end payroll process, including preparation and review of weekly and monthly payrolls in a multi-shift environment, ensuring correct pay rates, deductions, and net payments.
- Ensure all real-time reporting obligations are met, avoiding penalties for late or inaccurate payments.
- Establish and develop relationships with IT system and data providers such as Revenue, AIB Bank, Sage MicroPay, Advanced Systems, and Viatris IT.
- Manage payroll aspects of employee benefit schemes, including health insurers, pensions, and risk benefits.
- Oversee voluntary deductions like bus & rail passes, Bike to Work scheme, and Social Club.
- Maintain control over company obligations related to Benefit-in-Kind, Reward & Recognition schemes, and employee mileage for company vehicles, escalating tax compliance issues as needed.
- Maintain the payroll inbox and respond to employee queries promptly.
- Support the Team Lead in payroll audits and critical projects, including system integrations and acquisitions.
- Assist in preparing payroll reports such as Gender Pay Gap, R&D tax credits, and IDA grant submissions, ensuring accurate postings into the General Ledger.
- Escalate tax compliance issues to the Team Lead for guidance.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate data on the Time Management System and resolve related issues.
- Distribute payroll management reports for senior management and key partners.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Payroll Team Lead.

Education/Experience/Knowledge

- Previous payroll processing experience and knowledge of local HR policies preferred.
- Experience with TMS, Workday, Revenue Online, SAGE Micropay, and SAP is advantageous.
- Understanding of end-to-end payroll systems and process improvement capabilities.
- Proficiency in English, with the ability to interpret complex documents and produce detailed reports.
