Legal Report Writer

Osborne is currently recruiting a Legal Report Writer to join a dynamic and growing organisation in Dublin 22 on a permanent basis.  

Overview 
As an important member of this medico-legal organization, you will play a pivotal role in preparing comprehensive reports, which are used in legal proceedings and claims, to explain the medical aspects of a person’s injury or ongoing medical condition.

Role and Responsibilities



Reviewing patient records and liaising with clients and healthcare professionals to gather all required medical information.


Preparing accurate, concise and comprehensible medico-legal reports detailing specifics such as past and present medical conditions, expert opinion on future prognosis and any other pertinent details. 


Working together with internal and external stakeholders including legal teams, case managers etc, to always provide reports within deadlines that comply with the required legal standards


Any other duties as requested by CEO/Operations Manager



 
Candidate Requirements



Experience of the discovery process in civil litigation matters. 


Experience reviewing draft briefs, pleadings and other legal documents


Advantageous – Previous experience in medico-legal reporting and using the Leap system.


Excellent analytical skills, especially when dealing with complex medical information.


Demonstrably strong communication skills, both written and verbal.


Prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and keep to deadlines. 


Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with a minimum of 50wpm.


High level of integrity and ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
