Main purpose of the role:
Purpose of this role is to provide support to Store Management and colleagues in all aspects of the Security function.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

- Previous experience within a retail security role

- Hold a current PSA Security Guard License is essential

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team

Main duties:

- Actively live SuperValu brand-values i.e. Genuine, Passion for Food, Vibrant, Committed, Innovative and Imaginative;

- Protect the Store€,,s assets

- Assist the Store Owner/Manager in preventing loss of stock/theft within the store

- Ensure that the Store is a safe environment for customers and employees

- Key holding responsibilities to include opening/closing of the Store

- Carry out routine spot checks on waste, deliveries, closing stock, refunds, voids and employees

- Carry out investigation work, when required

- Monitor CCTV records

Job Summary:
We are looking for a diligent and observant Part-Time Security Monitoring Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preventing theft, monitoring store activity, reviewing CCTV footage, and training staff in security procedures. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to maintaining store security.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor store areas to deter theft and suspicious activity.
- Review and analyse CCTV footage
- Collaborate with store management to report and address security issues.
- Assist in developing and implementing loss prevention strategies.
- Training staff and management in security procedures

Requirements:

- Previous experience in security or loss prevention preferred.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze CCTV footage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle incidents professionally.
- Flexibility to work varied hours
- An understanding of Irish criminal and civil law
- Flexible part-time hours.
