Overview
This role includes a secondment to Finland. RED Engineering Design is an expanding international M&E consultancy focused on low energy design and delivering excellent design solutions to clients.

RED enables the world’s digital infrastructure and develops the built environment, covering the entire life cycle of building projects. Our approach centers on listening to clients and collaborating with project stakeholders to add value through our people, service ethos, global delivery, technical ability, and attitude.

Role and location
To meet RED’s continued expansion in the design of critical facilities such as hyperscale and multi‑tenanted data centres, RED ICT has a requirement for a site‑based ICT Resident Engineer. The position will be based on client construction sites, primarily in Western Europe, with potential for wider international travel. In addition to English, the ideal candidate will have multilingual skills in a leading European language.

Represent RED with elite engineering & construction teams

Work hands-on with clients shaping mission-critical facilities

You bring

Data centre / critical facility experience

Drive to deliver world-class engineering solutions

ICT / telecommunications experience gained in international consulting engineering practice, an ICT systems or services contractor or manufacturer (e.g., fibre optic data cabling), systems integration, or related building services engineering

Qualifications and attributes

Good commercial awareness and robust technical knowledge of building services design relevant to the data centre sector

Ability to incorporate technologies into data centre projects

Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Structural) and contractors
