Windows Server Engineer (6-Month Contract) Contract Details Duration: 6 months Location: Dublin 2 (Hybrid work pattern) Day Rate: €500 €550 DOE Working Rights: Must hold EU/Irish passport or valid full-time permit We are hiring an experienced Windows Server Engineer for a 6-month daily-rate contract with a major international dairy & nutrition organisation based in Ireland. You will be a key member of the infrastructure team, responsible for maintaining enterprise Windows Server systems and supporting business-critical operations. This position offers a hybrid working pattern based in Dublin 2, with a competitive day rate of €500€550 DOE. Candidates must possess an EU/Irish passport or hold a valid work permit granting full-time working rights in Ireland. Role Overview You will support and maintain the organisations Windows Server estate, backup systems, and disaster recovery processes. This includes lifecycle management, system patching, and ensuring high availability across core infrastructure services. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain enterprise Windows Server environments. Manage and operate CommVault backup systems. Conduct testing, validation, and documentation of Disaster Recovery processes. Perform server patching, upgrades, and general lifecycle maintenance. Troubleshoot and resolve server performance and reliability issues. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and uptime. Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience supporting Windows Server environments (20122022). Experience working with CommVault or similar enterprise backup tools. Solid understanding of DR practices, documentation, and execution. Proven experience with patching cycles, version upgrades, and server maintenance. Strong troubleshooting and analysis skills within enterprise environments. Ability to deliver within a fast-paced, hybrid infrastructure landscape.
