Ornua is an Irish dairy co-operative that markets and sells dairy products on behalf of its Member Co-operatives, Ireland’s dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers. Ornua is Ireland’s largest exporter of Irish dairy products and has annualised sales of €3.4 billion. The Group is structured across two divisions: Ornua Foods and Ornua Ingredients. Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua’s consumer brands, including Ireland’s most successful food export, Kerrygold, as well as Kerrygold Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Forto and BEO milk powders. Markets are served by production facilities in Ireland, Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales and Marketing teams in Asia, Germany, Ireland, MEA, Poland, Spain, rest of Europe, and North and Latin America.

Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products, for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world, and for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies. The business is supported by production facilities in the UK, Spain, the US, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the successful candidate will have responsibility for sourcing candidates and hiring for internal and external opportunities from entry-level to Manager level for the Ornua business areas based in Ireland.

The role also will offer the opportunity to work as part of a global team that partners closely with hiring managers in the attraction, shortlisting and interviewing of applicants for specific positions and offers a high level of visibility within the business.

Key Areas of Responsibility

- Support the delivery of the global talent acquisition strategy for Ornua to continue to enhance our ability to attract and retain the right talent for our business.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process including sourcing and phone screening, providing support and guidance to hiring managers on the selection of candidates through to managing the offer process.
- Support hiring managers with all documentation necessary to recruit efficiently including candidate profiling, CBI script writing and debrief facilitation post interview.
- Ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the process.
- Champion talent acquisition excellence and practices across Ornua.
- Work in collaboration with Global Talent Acquisition team members on key projects.

Key requirements and competencies

- Currently running end-to-end recruitment processes ‘in-house’.
- Experience of designing and conducting competency-based interviews and other selection methods.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written and demonstrated ability to positively sell and represent the Ornua Employer Brand.
- Experience of effectively managing all stakeholders through the hiring process – Hiring Managers, Candidates, HR Business Partners, external vendors.

- Skilled in direct search techniques and online and social sourcing i.e. LinkedIn.
- Good experience of ATS systems (knowledge of Success Factors is preferable) and reporting tools e.g. Excel, Power BI.
- Flexibility to travel as needed, full driving licence is required.
