Key Account Executive

Key Account Executive Responsibilities:
1. To take responsibility for and be the primary commercial contact for designated customer accounts.
2. To drive sales and achieve agreed commercial KPI targets for the business.
3. To develop and maintain excellent customer relations, professionally representing the company and enhancing its reputation.
4. To work closely with internal departments: NPD, Production, Finance, and Marketing to facilitate delivery of an exceptional customer experience.
5. To ensure that updates on customer activity impacting Operations and Production and others are communicated clearly.
6. To become an expert user of customer information systems ensuring accurate and timely inputs as required – including tender platforms.
7. To monitor and report on account performance for weekly sales meetings and other internal reviews.
8. To conduct regular store reviews and stay informed on market trends and competitor activity within relevant categories.
9. To attend customer events and retail safaris as required by the business.
10. To liaise with the marketing brand support team on customer campaigns.
11. Building and maintaining relationships with both internal and external sales and marketing departments, vendors, distributors, and customers.
Skills / Attributes / Qualifications:
1. 3-5 years' experience in the FMCG sector with a proven track record of account management and achieving results.
2. Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
3. Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
4. An understanding of formal procurement/tender processes, and experience in proposal/tender writing.
5. Strong numeracy skills.
6. Team player with sharp commercial awareness.
