Automation Technician - 12 Month FTC
Location: Dublin, Leinster
Are you an experienced Automation or Maintenance Technician looking for your next challenge in a regulated Pharmaceutical environment? This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, troubleshoot automation systems, and play a key part in ensuring production lines run safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The Role
As an Automation Technician, you will:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automation systems, including robotics, assembly machinery, label applicators, tooling, separators, and test equipment.
- Ensure automation lines achieve performance and output targets through data analysis and corrective action.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on production efficiency, safety, and product quality.
- Carry out equipment modifications, engineering change requests, and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with machine safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with engineering teams, shift leads, and production staff to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
About You
- Qualification in a relevant discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar).
- 3+ years' experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharma, or food/FMCG.
- Strong knowledge of automation systems and machine safety.
- Experience with CMMS systems and PLC systems.
- Familiarity with quality systems (GMP, ISO, FDA QSR) is a strong advantage.
