The Role: This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and detail-oriented finance professional to advance their career within a dynamic and fast-paced construction and engineering environment. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will assist with day-to-day financial operations, month-end reporting, and continuous improvement of financial processes to support efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports Support daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations Process supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, and payroll-related transactions Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across multiple projects Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and project cost records Liaise with project managers and site teams to ensure accuracy in cost tracking and reporting Provide general financial and administrative support to the Financial Controller and wider management team Candidate Requirements: Part-qualified or currently pursuing a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) Minimum of 23 years experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within the construction, engineering, or manufacturing sectors Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting or ERP systems (Sage, COINS, or similar an advantage) Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach Whats on Offer: Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package Study support and genuine opportunities for career progression A supportive, team-focused working environment Long-term career prospects within a successful and growing company Skills: Accounting system Journal Entries Balance Sheet Prepayment Year End Close Accounting entries Monthly Accounting Benefits: Paid Holidays Parking Pension Fund
