Accounts Assistant – Credit Controller At Drive Inc., we’re changing how people buy and sell cars in Ireland and across Europe. We are looking for a passionate, dynamic Accounts Assistant – Credit Controller to join our TradeBid & Nevo team in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for an energetic individual to join a successful automotive technology company and be an integral part of our exponential growth. The role will suit those who would like to be exposed to a fast-paced environment with plenty of opportunities for personal growth.
Your Responsibilities
Daily:
Credit Control – chase aged receivables from buyers
Bank reconciliation – mark all receivables as paid in Xero and reconcile previous days payables.
Issue invoices throughout the day – ideally no longer than 2 hours post sale
Customer service – maintain accounts inbox ensuring all emails are responded to the same day
Payments – generate payment run, ensuring all auctions sales are deposited and paid to and from the client account. Mark all payables as paid the same day and issue remittance advice.
Cross team collaboration – work closely with sales and auction ops teams
Monthly/Less frequent:
Opex invoices booked by WD3
Transport invoices booked by WD3 including margin analysis with commentary on lower margin/loss making jobs
Monthly OPEX payment run
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations – bank, vehicle control
VAT filing for ROI, NI and NL
Support FC on other statutory filing and audits
Build a rapport with sellers and buyers
Qualities Required:
Proactive nature and willingness to solve problems on a daily basis
Continuous improvement mindset – look to continuously improve and automate process
Business Owner mindset – make decisions for the best financial interest for the company while balancing the need to keep the customer happy and maintain long term relationships
Understanding how their actions impact the companies unit economics
Strong Communication and Negotiating skills
Strong minded and ability to deal with negative customer interactions in a positive manner
Part qualified or in the process of training for an accountancy qualification – Not required if prior credit control experience
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making processes.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
