Senior Chemical Engineer Limerick Location: Limerick (onsite) Hours: MondayThursday 8:00am4:30pm, Friday 8:00am3:30pm Salary: €65,000 + benefits Type: Permanent, full-time Reports to: Production Manager Join a long-established and highly respected manufacturing operation producing essential building materials to the highest international standards. This role offers hands-on technical involvement, career progression, and the chance to move into a leadership position in the coming years. The Opportunity As a Senior Chemical Engineer, youll play a key role in maintaining and improving production performance. Youll monitor process chemistry, support plant operations, and drive improvements in product consistency and process efficiency. This position suits someone ambitious, technically strong, and eager to develop toward Production Management. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams. Monitor chemical and process parameters to maintain a consistent, stable product. Analyse process performance, including heat transfer, mass balances, and design efficiency. Support kiln performance, quality control, and troubleshooting. Lead or assist with process improvement and commissioning projects. Manage contractors on specific site jobs or during shutdowns. Contribute to health, safety, and environmental standards across operations. What Youll Need Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline 34+ years relevant industrial experience (cement, minerals, process, or heavy manufacturing ideal) Strong technical and analytical skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Proven problem-solving and project management skills Ambition to progress into a leadership role Why Apply This is a stable, progressive role offering long-term career growth within a global manufacturing group.
