Overview

We/'re continuing our cloud adoption journey and seeking a highly skilled and motivated Google Cloud Engineer (VP level) to join our growing team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform as part of a multicloud environment. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, resilient, scalable and secure solutions that meet business requirements.

What you/'ll do

- Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining Google Cloud core infrastructure and resources to support our business
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD DevSecOps tools
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments ensuring high availability and performance
- Working with Information Security, assist in the implementation and management of security best practices, including access control, data encryption and threat detection
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing applications and systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Cloud technologies and industry best practices
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new cloud-based technologies and services
- Contribute to the improvement of cloud operations and processes

What you/'ll bring

- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and their Google Cloud implementation including networking, storage and security as well as other concepts such as SaaS, PaaS and IaaS
- Experience and understanding of enterprise patterns and best practices around building out GCP for a regulated organisation (e.g. Landing Zones, Enterprise foundations blueprint, network and connectivity options, etc.)
- Proven experience with DevSecOps practices (e.g. Git, CI/CD) and tools such as Google Cloud DevOps, Cloud Build, GitHub Enterprise and GitLab
- Strong proficiency with Terraform (IaC), Docker and Kubernetes (containerization technologies) are strong advantages
- Solid understanding of Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Experience with scripting languages, e.g. PowerShell, Bash and Python
- Strong communications and collaboration skills with the ability to produce clear documentation in corporate Wiki tools
- Experience of other Cloud Services such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, is also a strong plus
- Rights to work in Dublin are strongly preferred
