Morgan McKinley are delighted to be partnering with a Cork based Accounting Practice in the recruitment of a Qualified Accountant to join their growing team. In this position you will be responsible for a wide range of SME clients focusing on audit, tax and accouants preparation. Please note this position is 100% on site.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
- Prepare financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns for a varied client portfolio.
- Support audit engagements from start to finish.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to trainee accountants and junior team members.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by offering clear, expert advice and responding to queries.
- Leading and conducting audits across a broad client base, in line with auditing standards and best practices
- Preparing corporate and personal tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws
- Investigating issues identified during engagements and proposing effective solutions
- Managing assignments to ensure completion within agreed budgets and deadlines
- Developing and maintaining strong, professional relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients
- Delivering high-quality work in a timely, efficient, and professional manner
- What We're Looking For:
- 3-5 years of experience in a public accounting firm or general accounting practice
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or in progress)
- Strong technical knowledge of current accounting and auditing standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and confidently
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail, a high level of integrity, and a commitment to confidentiality
