As a product manager, you will oversee the management of global and/or regional commodities. Your key responsibilities include collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify commodity requirements and ensuring supplier qualification and quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple categories/commodities across various European manufacturing sites.
  • Engage with internal teams (engineering, operations, quality) to capture commodity needs and ensure supplier reliability and quality.
  • Develop detailed commodity strategies, including assessing opportunities for commodities, creating sourcing plans, and executing sourcing projects.
  • Negotiate and select suppliers, manage contract lifecycles, and maintain compliance.
  • Drive commodity efficiency through price, value analysis, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support supplier segmentation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic suppliers within commodity.
  • Collaborate with plants to efficiently resolve escalated issues and formally manage and secure supplier capacity.
  • Support region/sector procurement teams through preferred supplier programs, RFQs, and SRM to set and meet program QCD targets.
  • Maintain active monitoring and mitigation of supplier risk, including financial, capacity, quality, and compliance.
