The role of an Automation Technician is to provide day-to-day support for automation issues in process and packaging areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment faults to minimize downtime
  • Complete equipment and system backups as required
  • Liaise with vendors to support systems
  • Upkeep of Automation documentation
  • Diagnosis of PLC Programming faults

The ideal candidate will have a Level 6 or higher qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering and at least 3 years' experience in an Automation Technician role in a medical device industry.

The Automation Technician will work closely with the production team to ensure smooth operation of automated equipment and identify opportunities for improvement.

They will also be responsible for completing weekly PM completion on equipment as required and assisting with quality event investigations for Automation-related issues.

Requirements:
  • Level 6 or higher qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
  • 3 Year+ in Automation Technician role in a medical device industry
  • Working knowledge of Siemens and Schneider PLCs

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 months.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
