Key Responsibilities:

Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice on customs compliance, classification, valuation, and documentation requirements.

  • Ensures compliance with all relevant customs regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements.
  • Develops and implements efficient processes to ensure shipments are managed against appropriate timelines and expectations.
  • Maintains awareness of changes in customs regulations and industry trends, supporting updates to internal policies and procedures.
  • Conducts regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensures adherence to compliance standards.
  • Collaborates with internal departments (e.g., logistics, finance, legal) to streamline processes and resolve issues effectively.
  • BUILDS AND MAINTAINS STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL PARTNERS AND OTHER RELEVANT STAKEHOLDERS.
  • Provides training and guidance to team members to enhance their knowledge and skills in customs brokerage operations.
  • Monitors team workload and identifies opportunities for automation and productivity improvements.
  • Works closely with cross-functional team members to identify knowledge, reporting, or process gaps and creates and drives improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

A university degree in a business-related discipline is preferred. Experience across global geographies is also required.

  • In-depth knowledge of export/import laws and regulations.
  • 5+ years of experience in customs/global trade (export, customs, and/or trade compliance).
  • Operational experience in export/import operations and risk management.
  • People management experience across different geographies.
  • Strong project management skills and technological savviness.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to operate and communicate effectively at all business levels.
