Electrical Site Foreman Job Description

About a multi-disciplined engineering contractor delivering diverse high-end projects throughout Ireland.

  • The successful candidate will lead and manage the direct labour workforce on site, overseeing health & safety in conjunction with the EHS Officer.
  • This includes managing electrical installations and installations of packages to ensure they are delivered to drawings, specifications, and regulations.
  • The ideal candidate will also coordinate subcontractor works, monitor productivity of all workers under their remit, track daily progress against the project schedule, and report to the Project Manager.
  • Additionally, this role involves managing labour, materials, and site deliveries to maintain momentum and driving quality—snagging, resolving issues, and closing out to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • The Electrical Site Foreman will be responsible for liaising with clients to resolve queries quickly and effectively, as well as overseeing testing, verification, and certification before handover.
Key Responsibilities

Leadership: The successful candidate will lead and manage the direct labour workforce on site, ensuring effective team management and communication.

Health & Safety: This includes overseeing health & safety in conjunction with the EHS Officer, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Project Delivery: The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating subcontractor works, monitoring productivity, tracking daily progress, and reporting to the Project Manager.

Quality Management: Driving quality—snagging, resolving issues, and closing out to ISO 9001:2015 standards is a critical aspect of this role.

Customer Focus: Liaising with clients to resolve queries quickly and effectively is essential for maintaining strong client relationships.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications: A relevant qualification in electrical or instrumentation engineering, along with experience in leading and managing teams, is required.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role is preferred, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Personal Qualities: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, are essential.
