Job Overview

The Electrical Construction Manager is responsible for executing various stages of a project, including project start-up and close out activities.

  • Assist in developing construction programs and short-term look ahead planning reports.
  • Visit sites to develop site establishment schedules and familiarize with change management.
  • Assist in project validation, putting site safety starter packs in place, and participating in HSEQ plans.
  • Set up site establishments, prepare method statements and risk assessments, and review construction drawings.
  • Assist in benchmarking installation practices and quality procedures.

In the project running phase, the Electrical Construction Manager will be responsible for:

  • Develop daily key action plans that include HSEQ, productivity, and people management.
  • Assist project teams in expediting major equipment deliveries and maintaining site diaries.
  • Attend and chair internal meetings with sub-contractors, ensuring labor allocation sheets are completed, and produce short-term programs.
  • Effectively manage sub-contractor supervision, ensure sub-contractor workforces are on-site on time, and liaise with clients and other supervisors.

The Electrical Construction Manager will also be responsible for ensuring tool box talks, inductions, and safety briefings are carried out, maintaining plant logs, and carrying out daily walk-around safety checks. Additionally, they will plan and coordinate delivery of materials and plant, mark up drawings, and ensure inspection test plans are enforced.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognized electrical apprenticeship or trade certification, coupled with a minimum of 5 years of site management experience.
  • Experience in managing electrical design and build projects exceeding €5 million.
  • Strong computer abilities, professional acumen, communication skills, planning and organizational skills, and a deep understanding of constructability.
