Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Mep Estimator. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both public and private sectors, with a strong background in quantity surveying.

  • Prepare detailed budgets and feasibility assessments for development projects
  • Implement value management and engineering principles to optimize project outcomes
  • Develop estimates including system take-offs, material take-offs, and building-up rates from first principles for all MEP installations
  • Produce financial reports and cash flow forecasts to ensure accurate project funding
  • Conduct whole life cycle and carbon assessments to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Operate a cost management system to track and analyze project expenses
  • Comply with quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems

Requirements

  • A postgraduate certificate in MEP quantity surveying or a degree in MEP engineering
  • A minimum of three years' experience in MEP estimating within a consultancy or contracting environment, supporting commercial, industrial, or pharmaceutical construction projects
  • Proficiency in common office programs and IT, with experience in digital take-off software and BIM
  • The ability to work proactively within project teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • A commercially focused approach to project delivery
  • Detailed knowledge of MEP installations, including the ability to identify, evaluate, measure, and describe them for cost estimation and tender document preparation
