Job Title: Project Development Specialist

Job Description:

As a Project Development Specialist, you will play a key role in overseeing the planning and execution of large-scale onshore wind and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines while effectively communicating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and submit planning applications for renewable energy projects.
  • Oversee joint venture relationships and contracts, ensuring seamless communication with local communities and authorities.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of potential projects, assessing their technical and financial viability.
  • Secure tenders and proposals by developing strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Lead a team, promoting a culture of health and safety awareness while maintaining high standards.
  • Submit Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) applications to An Bord Pleanála, ensuring timely and effective project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys, as well as environmental impact assessments, to inform project decisions.
Requirements:
  • A degree in engineering, environmental science, or planning, with a focus on town planning.
  • At least 3 years of experience in planning and consents for large renewables or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with government regulatory bodies, such as SEAI and An Bord Pleanála.
