Documentary Researcher Position

We are seeking an experienced Researcher/Assistant Producer to join our team for upcoming documentary projects. This role involves on-the-ground research in a busy environment, sourcing interesting personalities and exploring their stories for potential filming.
Applicants should be good listeners with a strong interest in documentary storytelling and maintain an open mind. The successful candidate should demonstrate initiative and strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with contributors.
Responsibilities include:
- Sourcing, researching, and filming short videos of potential contributors.
- Writing character breakdowns and briefing the producer and director.
- Working independently under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Assisting on shoots.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
The ideal candidate will have experience in factual/documentary television, radio or online media, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure within a busy team and meet deadlines.
