Key Responsibilities

This role is a great opportunity to take on a leadership position in a laboratory setting. As a Microbiology Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the lab, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

You will supervise, mentor, and develop team members to ensure their performance and growth. Additionally, you will lead the site's dosimetry program, manage all dosimetry lab activities, and author documentation for dosimetry methods, equipment qualification, and validation.

The successful candidate will also oversee and enhance the laboratory training program, ensuring adherence to safety rules and training compliance. Furthermore, you will review lab results for data accuracy and ensure timely communication of findings.

Other key responsibilities include maintaining validation and control of the dosimetry lab in compliance with internal policies, regulations, and ISO11137 standards. You will also provide technical expertise in dosimetric release methods, dose mapping, and dose calibration procedures, and lead troubleshooting efforts related to dosimetric release.

Finally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely task completion and analyse product quality and process data using statistical tools to identify trends and drive improvements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 4 years' work experience in a laboratory or research environment.
  • Desirable qualifications include electron beam or other sterilisation technologies experience, knowledge in ISO 11137, and chemistry/microbiology/dosimetry lab experience.
