There is an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Health and Safety. Reporting to the General Manager of Community Services, this individual plays a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive corporate wide Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) strategic and risk management compliance program that aligns with organizational objectives.

This position will be a combination of both office and field work. The ideal candidate is looking for a challenging and rewarding position where they can utilize their skills and experience to make a positive impact.

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary diploma or certificate in health and safety, combined with a minimum of five years experience as a safety professional. They will also be a certified auditor with a minimum of three years auditing experience.

They will have a good working knowledge of all federal and provincial Health & Safety legislation and regulations, including Workers Compensation Board (WCB). The candidate will be an active business partner providing professional advice and support to the leadership team.

They will have proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders. The candidate will take initiative and exhibit both integrity and professionalism while representing the organization.

They will have excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. The candidate will enjoy working collaboratively with a wide range of people.

They will possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable abstract. The successful candidate will be offered a highly attractive total compensation package, including a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and supporting learning and development opportunities.
