Job Title:

Architectural Technologist/Technician/Facade Designer

A career in facade design and development is a challenging yet rewarding experience for individuals who enjoy working on complex building projects. This role involves designing and developing Light Gauge Steel Facade systems while collaborating with designers, structural engineers, and clients to ensure that designs meet building regulations, structural requirements, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education: Hold a third-level qualification in Architectural Technology or equivalent.
  • Candidates from 2025: Graduates are welcome to apply.
Design and Development: Carry out all stages of design related to Light Gauge Steel Facade systems, including interpreting structural and architectural working drawings to develop CAD/Revit/BIM design information.Collaboration and Communication: Attend site and design meetings in the UK as required, collaborate with designers and structural engineers to develop project-specific construction details, liaise with clients, architects, and main contractors to ensure good communication and teamwork throughout the project.Drawings and Documentation: Develop drawings, submit them to the Design Manager for approval before distributing to the project team, coordinate and issue construction status drawings to relevant site teams, estimate material quantities and sizes for onsite delivery.Project Completion: Prioritize and organize tasks efficiently, prepare O&M manuals, and issue them to clients at project completion.Work Arrangements: The job requires attendance at the Cork City office each working week, working hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00-17:15, Friday 8:00-13:15.
