Automation Specialist Position

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team in Cork.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automated control systems, including Allen Bradley and Siemens, as well as experience with robotics and industrial automation. They will also be proficient in PLC programming and have a proven track record of working with automation tools such as SCADA and HMI.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support for automation and control systems involved in manufacturing operations.
  • Serve as a technical point of reference for automation-related matters across the engineering team.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies aimed at boosting operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate on project teams, offering expertise and guidance on control systems hardware and architectural decisions.
  • Anticipate and address technical challenges to minimize disruption to operational goals.
  • Troubleshoot, interpret, and update automation software in accordance with site quality standards.
  • Design, verify, and deploy control software within a sophisticated, validated, and automated manufacturing setting.
  • Build and connect software tools for automated systems, integrating them with existing digital analytics platforms.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with equivalent technical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Automation.
  • Strong understanding of automated control systems, robotics, and industrial automation.
