About the Role

As a Child Protection Specialist with Tusla, you will be part of a dynamic team working to support vulnerable individuals and families in need.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work and excellent communication skills. If you're passionate about making a difference in your community, this role may be perfect for you.

You will work closely with clients to provide emotional support and guidance throughout the adoption and tracing process. Your expertise will be invaluable in facilitating reunions and ensuring that all parties involved feel heard and understood.

  • Clinical Expertise:
  • Providing counseling and support to survivors of mother and baby homes
  • Supporting clients in preparation for birth family reunion
  • Genealogical research and birth family searching
  • Facilitating family reunification meetings
  • Post-reunification support and counseling
  • Conducting interviews with adults reporting retrospective abuse
  • Engaging with individuals subject to abuse allegations
  • Evaluating risks and reporting cases of concern as necessary
About You

We are seeking an experienced social worker with a recognized qualification and CORU registration. The ideal candidate will have some experience working in a similar service or placement environment.

A full driver's license and access to a car are also essential for this role. We welcome applications from new graduates and those looking to transition into a new career path.
