About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Primary Care Team in Thurles and Templemore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy interventions to adults within the Primary Care setting. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Public Health Nurses, and GPs, to provide comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans. Your expertise in assessment and intervention planning within a community or primary care setting will be invaluable in promoting functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and enhancing the overall quality of life for our service users.

Requirements:
  • Be registered on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, with at least one year in a relevant area such as Primary Care, Community, or Rehabilitation.
  • Strong experience in assessment and intervention planning within a community or primary care setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues and service users.
  • Experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff or students is desirable.
