Therapy Services Manager for Adults

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of adults in our community. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing individualized care plans to promote functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in assessment and intervention planning, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. They will be able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, public health nurses, and GPs. Additionally, they will have experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff or students, and possess a full driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions to adults within the Primary Care setting.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs).
* Provide intervention in areas such as self-care, mobility, housing adaptations, equipment prescription, and falls prevention.
* Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, public health nurses, and GPs.
* Supervise and support junior staff, students, and occupational therapy assistants, ensuring high standards of practice.
* Participate in the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives within the Primary Care team.
