Production Lead

TE Connectivity is seeking a dedicated Production Manager to support production on weekend days. This pivotal role will play a key part in scheduling, capacity planning and ensuring the team meets monthly targets. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership skills and take responsibility for the success of the production team.
The business offers flexible working arrangements, providing the option of working as little as 24 hours up to 39 hours, if desired. Once the weekend shift is covered on Saturdays & Sundays, other hours can be worked either side of that, as preferred.
- Meet customer and business needs by collaborating with support functions.
- Analyze and report on the production plan to maximize performance.
- Support continuous improvement projects aligned with TEOA.
- Manage staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and HR processes.
- Drive compliance in GDP & GMP within manufacturing lines and teams.
- Implement improved practices and cost reduction for enhanced production performance.
- You will be accountable for EH&S activities, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Lead training efforts for team members in line with revisions.
- Proactively address off-track performance issues.
- Direct daily communication with the supply chain for material alignment.
- Reconcile and sign off on monthly inventory cycle counts.
- Manage SAP escalations, including password resets and material transactions.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a busy and challenging manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability as a people manager to lead and motivate individuals and teams.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing concepts, and good understanding of quality system requirements within manufacturing.
• A demonstrated ability for continuous improvement and problem-solving and will be expected to support projects and mentor others in this area.
• Full understanding of GDP, GMP and compliance requirements within manufacturing for the medical industry.
• Knowledge and understanding of materials systems, use of SAP, and appreciation for supply chain functions.
