You will play a key role in overseeing the development process, working cross-functionally with engineering, clinical, regulatory, and commercial teams.
The position is based in Galway and offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic and agile environment, contributing directly to the success of pioneering technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive product development plans from concept to manufacturing and scale-up in a regulated environment.
- Establish and manage robust project timelines; ensure product delivery on time and within budget.
- Implement structured engineering review processes to minimise design risks.
- Coordinate workstream activities and ensure prioritisation of critical path tasks.
- Communicate clearly with all internal and external stakeholders regarding project progress and risks.
- Anticipate potential issues and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Oversee program budgets and resource planning.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to support team development and recruitment.
- Contribute to the implementation of a quality system aligned with ISO and regulatory standards.
- Promote innovation and support IP generation to protect novel developments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
- Minimum 10 years' experience in medical device development, ideally in cardiovascular or interventional cardiology.
- Proven track record in product management within a regulated environment.
- Strong organisational and project execution skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, start-up style environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
- Understanding of quality systems and regulatory frameworks.
