This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a dynamic supply chain business. The Commercial Assistant will play a key role in supporting both Irish and UK operations, providing analytical and administrative support to the commercial function.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for collating and maintaining weekly and monthly commercial data from various sources, producing and distributing summary reports to the Commercial Team. They will also analyse commercial statistics against budget and prior-year data, highlighting key actions for Sales Managers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collate and maintain commercial data; produce and distribute summary reports to the team.
  • Analyse commercial statistics against budget and prior-year data, highlighting key actions for Sales Managers.
  • Support the Sales Team with tasks including quotations, CRM management, sample dispatch, product specification handling, and customer quality documentation.
  • Update and maintain cost databases to support accurate product pricing models.
  • Assist in developing the CRM platform, managing web content, supporting trade publications, and coordinating with industry bodies.
  • Work closely with the Finance Team to track debtor performance and engage with clients as needed.
  • Provide occasional cover for order processing, including handling incoming orders, updating the system, and coordinating with suppliers, hauliers, and storage facilities.
Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Prior experience in order processing is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to reliability and timekeeping, as the role requires consistent office-based presence.
  • A willingness to develop strong working relationships and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • A full, clean driving licence is required. Some occasional travel within Ireland and the UK may be involved.
