
Principal Calibration Specialist

The Principal Instrumentation Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support for electrical and instrumentation issues during start-up and normal operations.
This position is primarily focused on the instrumentation/calibration/regulatory side of the discipline. The engineer will be responsible for owning all aspects of the site calibration program and being able to discuss it with health authorities and regulatory bodies during audits.
Key Responsibilities:- Ownership of the site calibration program.
- Responsibility for all aspects of instrumentation equipment installed on site.
- Liaising with health and regulatory authorities.
- Initiation of new site calibration strategies and directives.
- Engineering support to maintenance and equipment owners.
- Maintenance program optimization for reliable operation of equipment.
- Training of Maintenance personnel on new equipment, methods, and techniques.
- Follow-up on issues identified by equipment owner or via Preventative Maintenance program.
- Participation in HSE and Quality observation/deviations write-ups as appropriate.
- Alignment of local maintenance procedures with Global Engineering Standard and Engineering Best Practices.
- Leadership of reliability improvements to identify equipment obsolescence in advance.
- Support for continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the Maintenance program.
This position requires a strong background in electrical and instrumentation engineering, as well as excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
