About This Role

We are seeking a skilled healthcare professional to join our team as a Palliative Medicine Specialist.

The successful candidate will have expertise in symptom management, end-of-life care planning, and multidisciplinary team coordination.

They will also possess strong communication, leadership, and flexibility skills, with the ability to work in evolving environments.

In addition, they will be committed to supporting service development initiatives, such as new ambulatory clinics and unit expansions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Palliative Care Services: Deliver clinical services across hospice inpatient, acute hospital, and community settings, including evening and weekend on-call support.
  • Expertise in Symptom Management: Develop and implement effective strategies for managing symptoms in patients with advanced illness.
  • Multidisciplinary Team Coordination: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals from various disciplines to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty of palliative medicine.
  • Medical Board/Council Certificate of Good Standing.
