The Accounts Assistant is a crucial role within the finance team, supporting the financial operations of the organisation. This position is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills in finance and gain hands-on experience within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assisting the Finance Manager with day-to-day activities as required.
- Preparing and submitting monthly CIS and RCT Returns.
- Preparing VAT returns.
- Bank and credit card reconciliations, including processing of sundry payments and receipts.
- Ensuring all invoices are accurately coded and posted to the ledger.
- Reconciling supplier statements.
- Preparing the weekly payment run.
- Dealing with supplier queries in a timely manner.
- Previous experience within an Accounts role.
- Experience of invoicing and credit control.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
