Fundraising Manager Role

This is a key leadership position within our fundraising team, overseeing the development and implementation of Individual Giving strategies.

  • We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Individual Giving efforts, working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party agents to achieve agreed-upon targets and KPIs.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising and management, with experience in developing and implementing individual giving strategies. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, donors, and other external partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of Individual Giving strategies, including line management of relevant staff and stewardship of key relationships.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic direction and development of Depaul's Fundraising and Communications function, with a particular focus on Individual Giving.
  • Support and input into the development of Major Gift and Legacy Giving strategies, in consultation with senior stakeholders.
  • Provide regular analysis and reporting on Individual Giving performance, offering evidence-based recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversight of CRM management and development within Fundraising and Communications, identifying skills/knowledge gaps and coordinating training for staff.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, providing values-led leadership to the Fundraising and Communications team as a key member of management.
  • Support monthly reconciliation process with Finance and provide quarterly reports for the Fundraising and Communications Committee and Board of Trustees.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A third-level degree in marketing, communications, business, or another subject with relevance to the role.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in fundraising or marketing, ideally in the voluntary sector, with experience in Individual Giving or Direct Marketing strategies.
  • Minimum of one year's previous management experience.
