Job Title: IT Security Manager

Ergo is seeking an IT Security Manager for a permanent hybrid role with a market-leading client in Galway. As IT Security Manager, you will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and information assets by implementing and maintaining security measures across the entire IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to safeguard against potential threats.
  • Conduct regular system audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability testing to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with all departments to promote best security practices and ensure seamless integration.
  • Oversee a team to monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in a timely manner.
  • Ensure network security is in line with market standards using firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection platforms, and encryption tools.
  • Manage system backups and disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Detect, analyze, and respond to security breaches in accordance with established incident response workflows.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in IT security standards such as ISO27001 and NIS2.
  • Knowledge of network and endpoint security, identity management, and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and incident response workflows.
  • Understanding of cloud access security brokers (CASBs) and cloud security best practices.
  • Desirable certifications include Bachelor's Degree, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, and GSEC.
